Ableton Live Test

Ableton Live Test

A workshop in which I directed a music performance manipulated by Arduino and sensors.

In February 2021, our school organised an Innovation Week, where each student could pick between several workshops to use technology they haven't used before. Having a musical background, I jumped at the chance for a more artistic workshop, that one being: Ableton Live Performance with Arduino. Being familiar with both, this was a great chance put two and two together. However, being one of the only students with musical knowledge, there was some work to be done to form a coherent performance. Taking the role of band direction upon myself, we started experimenting, gradually building up our knowledge and tools.

In one week, we learned to make our own synthesizers, combine those sounds and create that performance. Here's the result of spending a week with Ableton Live and influencing sounds and ideas with Arduino.
